While standing outside of a boarded up Toys ‘R Us in New Jersey, Nick Bartley talked about The Nacelle Company’s Passport to the Toy Stores of the World. Recording a segment for the television show Hunting Nostalgia, Nick stood in front of a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 he had hoped could take him back to when the popular toy store chain was still open.

A few years back The Nacelle Company’s founder and CEO, Brian Volk-Weiss, had the idea of making Toy Store Passports. A book that you can bring to Toy Stores around the globe and collect different stamps. Just like how you get different stamps on your real passport when you visit different countries. Best part is the team at Nacelle will set up a toy store with everything they need to participate, sending them the Passports, the stamp, and store display. It is just another way that they help promote local independent toy stores and do their part to keep them open.
We talked to Volk-Weiss about the passport program. “The same idea is used for National Parks, I thought we should do something like this…” He let us know the program has been very successful. He stated that they have done multiple printings of the book with each printing being double in size to the prior.
Nick Bartley was excited to announce that the Nacelle Company is now including both Hunting Nostalgia and the Toy Store Guide in the passport program!
They have sent us our own stamps… So now whenever you see that toy siffin’ weirdo digging through bins at a toy show he can stamp your passport. Respectively, if you ever see anyone from the Toy Store Guide crew at a toy store, toy show, or event we can also stamp your passport. I have been collecting toy store stamps for a few years now and am personally excited to add the Toy Store Guide stamp to other toy store hunters’ passports and even to the stores I visit.
