There were hopes that 2020 could be the year for road trips to see all the amazing stores that were added to the site. Maybe a trip down I95 or a quick trip to Chicago for the weekend. Plans for a bachelor party in Vegas which would have doubled as visits to the 3 Rogue Toys locations, were put on hold. Hell, I didn’t even get to drive the Long Island Expressway as a warm up yet.Â
With road trips on the brain, we are excited to show off some new updates… Most noticeably, we swapped out the state buttons on the homepage for a sleek new map. We hope this will help people locate stores near them, whether it is in their part of the state or maybe a close toy store that happens to be in another state. Another update, that we have been implementing over the last few weeks, is adding links to the addresses on all store profiles.Â

Now that we have a giant map at the top of our homepage it is easy to see what states are being completely left out and what parts of the country are looking a little empty. As usual this is when we ask for help from the Toy Community with finding those cool Toy Stores that we know are out there. Help us fill in the blanks.Â
The idea for the site changes came while talking to our friend Joe who runs Leicester Vintage & Old Toy Shop in Leicester, United Kingdom. Joe and his mates have been planning to visit the states, renting a RV, and driving across the country buying toys to replenish their shop across the pond.Â
To help Joe and the guys out we threw together this map with the major U.S. highways. This one is not interactive but at least it can show what locations are close to interstates like Route 80. If there are any other Toy Store Hunters planning a road trip be sure to reach out to us and we will try to get you an updated map.Â

Leicester Vintage & Old Toy Shop had a successful kickstarter campaign with the proceeds going to memorialize the adventure in a documentary series. Joe and the guys had to postpone their adventure a bit but hopefully will be able to safely visit soon. We at ToyStoreGuide are excited to help them!
Here is to another year… Thank you for starting this ride with us, we hope you are enjoying it. We will continue to grow and evolve and hope to bring you cool new content. The Toy Store Guide will keep bringing you more awesome toy stores, let’s hope it becomes safe enough for all of us to visit them.
